The word is he was hard as hell on her (pause) in order to make her like that but also that he did like at least 100 takes of every scene as a way of wearing everyone down and putting them on edge

This is why I dont have respect for Kubrick because of his lack of ethics in working with people. Heard too many (confirmed) horror stories about the mental torture he puts his actors through, and that shyt was completely unnecessary...

LOL! You dont get that they only get paid so much money because studios feel like they'll be able to generate even more money based upon that persons charisma, and appeal. And they actually are giving the performers that garner such revenue decent cuts in an effort to draw the public into spending their money.
If we stop giving a sh!t and people watched and spent less on movies, actors would make less. Same with if we stopped giving a damn about the NBA, and stopped buying tickets, tuning in, and such the athletes would eventually make less.
