I never was on board with "wizards FO are geniuses for clearing the books" that was the basis of my arguments in the other thread. I think this is a meaningful calculated risk, if a situation arises where they need to toss Poole to clear space again it should be pretty easy.
I agree that it’s a risk ..possibly worthwhile if every single thing somehow goes perfect ..it just goes against the “clear cap space” rhetoric we heard after the Beal deal

However if it goes wrong no Poole’s regression continues I don’t see how the Wizards will have an “easy” time getting off that money without adding sweeteners like the Warriors just had to do and that would be a disaster which would have made me pause at pulling this trigger
I think from the warriors perspective it was to be rid of that financial commitment because they have been luxury tax offenders pretty much from it's inception, if they could've got rid of poole for nobody they would've probably, but CP3 was the next best thing.
I totally get it from the Warriors perspective.. they’re actively trying to reduce payroll
I do think they could've flipped Poole for something nicer if they wanted to take on more financial responsibility, but that wasn't the purpose of them making that move. For the Wiz the market for Poole should be abundant outside of him having a season ending/career altering injury.
Depends on your definition of “nicer” …for the Wiz I doubt there’s an abundance of option for him unless his play drastically improves especially with the new CBA being so draconian on big spending teams even with the cap spike

He even had like couple seasons at best where he averaged 20 or more. People are just trolling at this point, lol.
He had a bunch of seasons at 19 where you can round up. All his 20+ seasons were in the first few years of his career. CP0 doesn't even try to attack the basket now either.

Wow. That locker room really wasn't fukking with Poole. He couldn't even save himself because his production was so pedestrian.

As an official member of the F*ck CP3 wagon, I'm not sure I'm mad at this, depending on how the rest of the roster shapes up.

There's no question he'll be coming off the bench, playing time will be managed, he's unquestionably one of the GOAT PG's.... again, he'll play the Andre role (with likely/hopefully?) more playing time that AI was able to give last year.
