It’s a low stakes gamble tbh. They’re probably looking at mainly developmental pieces this draft and I don’t believe they have a pick next year. So it’s 2 years that don’t matter either way. Either he’s positively flippable by 2025, you sell for 50 cents on the dollar, you waive him, or you let him waste another year and then flip him as an expiringAnd if he continues to play like he did last year? A 4 year 130 million dollar anchor around your neck
What does that even mean bruh …they just spent 35 million a year on Jordan Poole ..why do you think they’ll spend/leverage that $65 million wisely?
My bad. Even still. Wiz will have 70 mill in cap space next year. No, he has 4. His new deal kicks in this upcoming season I believe. So October will be the first year of a four year contract
This is actually a decent point and might have changed the way that I look at this trade entirely actually.Warriors playing keep away from the Lakers
I imagine Washington would have waived him and Lakers would have signed him for pennies
They’ll trade his expiring at the deadline and save a bunch of tax money
I doubt the warriors or any other franchise is concerned with the Lakers getting cp3. Atleast not to the extend they'd give up assets to avoid it happening.Warriors playing keep away from the Lakers

Why? He's completely tearing it down to start from scratch.
Because these are the only moves they're gonna make. They don't have time to make more moves and acquire picks. It's all about what they do now.How does he expect to build without draft capital? The best assets are gone already. I dont understand why the Warriors didnt have to give up firsts with Poole. Warriors werent going to be able to sustain their roster with the new CBA, and he was a corpse in the playoffs. Worst contract in the league, Wizards should have held out.
Noooo!!!!!!!!
I don’t want that nikka nowhere close of winning anything

You think a “nucleus” built around Jordan Poole and his 130 million dollar contract is a “good thing” Did you not watch him at all last year? This is actually a good get for the Wiz because it now sets the nucleus of what the team will be for this rebuild. 1 and 2 are set so now they'll be drafting wings and bigs around the tyus poole backcourt.
What makes you believe this will happen? If Poole takes his role as the man in WSH seriously and shows progression and work ethic then the team could feasibly be built around him
What is this based on? His own team that drafted him just salary dumped him for a 38 year old …if he continues to regress why the hell would another team “give up something nice” for that?if he regresses or you don't like what you see behind closed doors a team will definitely give up something nice for him and he'll likely bring back more than Beal or KP did, so I get it.
Yeah I guess the name involved is getting people excited.. it Poole has a lot to bounce back from to prove worthy of that money or any prospects of him being nothing close to a franchise cornerstoneBefore this trade though, Wizards were definitely getting an offseason grade of D or F from me.
