They both get too much hate on the internet but Hunter is better and has had more memorable matches/feuds
Yeah of course HHH has more memorable matches and feuds. Triple H was always booked in the most favorable position, surrounded by allies and rivals more popular than him.

Jarrett was promised an Austin feud when he came back to WWF in 98 and Austin nixed it. He was petty much excluded from any chance of being in the main event picture after that cause Austin was the top dog in the company and he didn’t fukk with Jarrett.

Yes, without a doubt.

HHH was a lot better on the mic, especially as a heel promo. HHH had a much better, serious look. Better physique, bigger, more serious look/expressions, better gear (double entendre). HHH when he got super jacked in 2000-01 looked and talked like a believable threat to Rock or Austin. Jeff Jarrett's a good wrestler in the ring, but comes off like an obnoxious hillbilly and he's average height with an average physique by wrestling standards. In kayfabe, Rock and Austin should kick his ass in 5 minutes. HHH never was a draw on his own, but he was good as an opponent for those that did. I don't think JJ could've done that.

Triple H had a better look cause he’s tall and roided up.

You say it like it's trivial, but height and physique do make one guy look like more of a threat than another. Plus, HHH had a much better entrance and gear. Jeff Jarrett's whole aura was tacky. He was a pretty good wrestler but was missing the other stuff imo.

No excuses. Jarrett got the major shove at the end of WCW and had his own fukking promotion for gods sake. It just is what it is. Nobody likes to give hunter credit but he’s better

In his prime Jeff could have some excellent matches, with the right opponent he could go in the ring. I saw him and Shawn Michaels have a stellar match once. Triple H I'd put over him because of the great feuds and matches he's had, I enjoyed his matches with Mick Foley, Sting, The Undertaker (at least some of them), Shawn Michaels and others. In ring there's an argument but Triple H has been part of some great stuff, the retirement match with Foley was memorable, he played his role well with his selling too.

HHH is like the French Montana of wrestling. An overachiever who far exceeded his actual talent by being an opportunist. I am not necessarily mad at him for succeeding but he's not going to convince me he was anything above mediocre skillset wise.

I also find his cerebral assasin' shyt to be a crutch for lack of eliteness in any area. It's like when commentators tend to say a white guy has a higher basketball IQ then say, a more athletically gifted black player to make try to make you believe they're comparable. HHH harped on how well he knew and executed psychology in-ring to make you believe he was an elite wrestler but he cant brain wash me into buying it. He was just spending half the match rolling around in the ring like the lazy fukk he is. If he were a great wrestler, he wouldn't have to rely with working with other greats to put on a good match. He habitually made excuses when angles failed (Goldberg, Scott Steiner), yet can't juelz the fact that the Rock, just a few months prior, made Goldberg look like a million bucks (or Lesnar in 2019...).

Jeff Jarrett really was worst tier tho. Country music has really had a detrimental affect on society in many ways.

Both solid workers and excellent heels (I loathed Jarrett for the longest, so I'll give him credit). Great character work.

Trips gets the nod here though.

Problem with Jarrett is a lack of a true foil/nemesis once he really became the guy. Booking played a part.

Some of his best character work (in my opinion) around his prime (Slapnuts/Don't Piss Me Off) was when his foil was Chyna and he was IC champ.

He really helped get her over as a face...but outside of that, I don't really see think too much of Jarrett opposite anyone in particular as much as Hollywood/Sting, HHH/Rock or Foley, etc.

No fam. I am firmly in the "HHH is overrated" camp but he is head and shoulders better than Jarrett. They have different ceilings as performers. Jeff Jarrett's pocket is midcard fukkery. HHH's pocket is being the foil to the top babyface/face of the company.

Neither man is someone to build a company around at the end of the day and their reigns of terror hurt their legacies as wrestlers but NXT has completely rehabilitated HHH's image while people still look down on Jeff. TNA despite all of its faults did some good for the business at one time and Jeff kind of deserves his flowers for that.
