hold the fukk up nikka...there so many things wrong with this post i don't even know where to start........Real hip hop never has and will never be about record sales so to use that as some proof that bow down was better than resurrection is just :comeon:if you lived through that era and i can tell u for a fact u didn't you'd know that by the time bow down was released cube was seen as washed up far removed from his glory days. And most serious heads myself included will tell you that resurrection was absolutely a better album than bow down...sincerely it's a no match...you can certainly like bow down better because music still has a subjective aspect to it but just the fact that you're laughing at the proposition that resurrection is better than bow down makes you look absolutely clueless like blind mice

You're tripping like fukk. I never said it was about record sales. I was just stating the fact that the album was pretty popular all across the United States. Resurrection never had that type of impact regardless of how much "Hip Hop" it is. I've tried multiple times to like that album and it still doesn't do anything for me. As a matter of fact I think Jeru The Damaja - The Sun Rises in the East is a way better "Hip Hop" album than Resurrection.

:rudy: I did live throughout that era and Ice Cube was still in his prime. He wasn't considered washed up until those War & Peace albums. When Bow Down came out, that shyt was being played all throughout the West along with All Eyez On Me. Those two albums were street bangers at the time and you can't tell me different. We're just looking at two different sides of the same coin. You have your opinion and I have mines. I consider Bow Down the better album in every way.

i listen to both common sense and spice 1 and love them both for different reasons....only a narrow minded one trick pony would say shyt like that...

WESTCOAST NIGAS IN THE 90s were not listening to fukking COMMON Breh. STOP IT.
GTFOH.
I bump Common and resurrection is a classic album but in the 90s when cube was top 3 rapping common was a fukking PEON he wasnt geting play when you had classic after classic album coming out.
Only underground backrapper fans were on Common back then hence him gettting 3.5 mics when it came out... which is a horrible rating for a classic album.

Can't believe no one mentioned Life After Death in here. Can't think of an album with better subliminal jabs.

I know cube wrote eaz-e lyrics but dissing eazy-e has consequences getting dissed by Common meant nOTHING.

The same nikka listening to spice 1 isnt listening to COmmon.

I got the albums mixed up but how many mics did resurrection get? like 4 he wasnt a factor bro.
the lies u tell..

i only got into common because, the light, all night long, and real nikka quotes was on a screwtape...
