What? nWo was cool as hell... when you got everyday middle schoolers/high schoolers wearing all your merch and doin the "too sweet" sh-t... you've won..

it's one of the only huge angles that was for a younger gen and not mostly beards
Along with Austin 3:16, the nWo shirt was the only shirt you'd see on athletes and shyt.

Meltzer is into AEW and Japanese dudes head-dropping each other until one of them's head pops off their body to the polite clapping of everyone in Kurakuen Hall, so I don't think he has credibility on what is cool.

Unpopular Opinion but nWo was amazing as a kid but now that I'm older, it's clear they took from hip hop culture, 2pac, and west coast "gang" culture and just shook up the redneck audience of WCW at the time.

Although not as many people watch nowadays, all the current black excellence and natural charisma is better between Bianca, New Day, Swerve, Keith Lee, etc

Reading comprehension is vital OP. From the link you posted:

Dave Meltzer then compared MJF receiving loud pops to nWo getting cheered in WCW despite working as the heels. He further noted that nWo’s popularity made WCW look “uncool and incompetent” and eventually killed the babyfaces in the company and caused long-term damage to the WCW brand.

He's talking about how NWO despite being heels wouldnt sell in promos as heels and kinda make the WCW babyfaces look corny. Theres always a debate about that. As bullies they're supposed to do that, its not their fault the fans react how they do, but I also think NWO definetly felt themselves too much and changed plans all the time which fukked shyt up. Eventually shyt was just a white boy frat house.

A lot of Wrestling in retrospect is corny even in the amazing boom periods. Even back then, if you read the mainstream articles from the 80s and 90s it looked at it as an embarssing hookie thing and 40 year old white dudes like Nash and Hall wearing Fubu and bandannas was one of them

Now its kinda weird because you have certain media outlets who have people covering wrestling who were fans growing trying to present as a serious product and the promotions are trying to get their talent out there in mainstream places (award shows, talk shows) and people dont give a fukk but also still think of wrestling as a schtick so its just weird now lol Even when we hype people with natural charisma, show them to people outside of wrestling and they still shyt on them:mjcry::mjlol:

In case that I agree with Meltzer. But thems were the times, without them burying WCW in all aspects they never look as cool as they got.

I LIVE IN A CARDBOARD BOX!
The nWo jumped the shark when Hogan took over after the finger poke of doom, there were pointless 10 minute segments where they literally did nothing, recieved no comeuppance for their constant dirty deeds, and a mid-40s Hogan started wearing baggy JNCOS. After that, it never recovered. They were cringe. Hard to believe some form of the nWo went on for close to another year after this abortion of a stable. Black and silver. :scusthov:
