It was the best depiction of Batman on the big screen to me. That first couple of minutes in the beginning with the monologue was a masterpiece of who Batman is and what he means to the city especially with that score behind it. I rewatch only that part every couple of months with the sound system cranked up :banderas:

Cinematography on it's own was good, score was good, movie as a whole was bland, way too fukking long and besides Colin Farell it had some weak performances from actors who can do way better.

And with Gunn doing another seperate iteration of Batman...I'm like bush this "grounded" crap please.

That being said, I'll give the sequal a chance just to see how they play with those elements that did work.

It felt similar to the Joker to me, it was Batman in name only and this could've been literally any other try hard movie like Seven did years ago...and it was boring. The first 2 Nolan films was dope, this one not so much :francis:

I'm kind of over the whole grim dark Batman shyt and I wish Snyder didn't ruin his attempts, it would've been a much better take :yeshrug:

I loved it but I really enjoy that rainsoaked noir style. Detective batman was cool, lots of people have been waiting for that

Can definitely see why people wouldn't like it. If you're looking for a fun movie it's not really it, had some stupid parts and the ending wasnt sold too well

Thought Pattinson was great though and really looked the part, great Batman design

BTW I don't know if anyone clocked it, like I said I loved the movie I even
let the credits roll fully, and it was Paul dano who sang Ave Maria at the start

Visually its one of the best shot movies ive seen in a while, it has some AMAZING scenes (the elevator scene for example). Catwoman was great, the chase scene was incredible.

Its missteps are that its a bit too long and it kinda botches the ending (the most important part of any story imo). The villain was really good though.

Movie ran kinda long, but I felt everything was well done

Great casting choices and performances

Zoe Kravitiz was looking mad fukkable the whole movie :takedat:

Rob Pattinson did a great job as Bruce and batman. Most vulnerable depiction we've seen of the character so far out of the movies. I'll always have a soft spot for batman begins, but this did a better job of showing batman in his early years. He makes more mistakes and shows his inexperience. Makes it feel more immersive

Was refreshing to see a superhero movie feel like an actual movie. Not an assembly lined cgi fest of forced jokes that take priority over the plot

Scenes actually had room to breathe and batman gets a nice arc

Interested to see the direction they go with the next one :ehh:

Heard clayface is rumored to be the next villain. Would be a great choice. One we've never seen done in live action. Plus, it has potential to be a nice horror thriller.

Something like his cameo in arkham asylum but fleshed out into a full flick would be right up my alley:whoo:
