Man, the arcades was the shyt back in the day. It was like going to the strip club. Instead of walking around with a bunch of singles, you was in there with a pocket full of tokens. Instead of tipping a dancer, your putting tokens into the gaming machine. Some of the arcades around my way had tournaments in Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, Tekken, and other fighting games. Man, the fighting games kept a crowd around them. You can tell when someone was getting they ass beat. They'd turn around like.

while the other dude turns around looking at everyone like
That was where I wanted my 1st job to be was working in an arcade. You can mess around and spend your whole Friday night/Saturday afternoon there if you wasn't careful. I remember one time I had like $20 dollars. I got that shyt in tokens. I had a little Crown Royal looking bag like I had a damn treasure up in there. Man, it didn't get no better than that.
There are still a couple of arcades around. One is called Bumpernets here in Birmingham. They are not only an arcade but you can buy, sell, trade gaming video game systems. Basically anything for recreational use. You can get ping-pong tables and play them there too. Pinball machines, pool tables and accessories, anything you want.
