Leaf is a much bigger bust than
much worse career. there was legit argument between him and Peyton. Peyton goes on to an unanimous first ballot HoF career.
that draft class also had Matt Hasselbeck, Brian Griese and Charlie Batch



was the #1 pick as a qb in a terrible qb draft.
brady quinn was the other qb picked in the first round

only jawalrus and trent edwards ended up starting at least two seasons from that qb class

To think he was number 2 behind Manning too.

This has to be the worse draft pick based on the number he went and how bad he was. Teams have personal bad draft picks but he topped them all.

People low key don't know about Mirer or B Thomas...Mirer to this day is still a shocker that he ended up being trash...i honestly didnt know who was gonna be better...him or bledsoe that year...B Thomas...you have to go way back...and be a PEnn State fan to know about him....but Dan Wikenson is another bust #1 overall in 1994...and not a pro bowl or anything

I remember all the Rick Mirer hype. Bill Walsh expected Mirer to be great too. There was even talk of the 49ers trading to get Mirer to grooming him as their next QB.

He couldn’t throw to his left, so teams were easily able to exploit this weakness.

Tebow had a similar game against the same team in the same stadium. But he threw a td and won the game off 2 completions.
