Don't let the routine matches Ric had in his later years where he was playing the coward and doing the flip over the turnbuckle fool you. In his prime he was one of the best to ever do it and routinely wrestled 1 hour matches.

For some reason he's one of the few wrestlers that gets shytted on for having a "formula", even though even fukking successful worker in history had one....and Flair had like 4 depending on opponent and situation :wow: he's the best ever at mixing story and spots imo. I think he's the performer I've watched the most in my whole time as a fan - specially considering I've seen like 20+ 1 hour matches from him - and I still consider him top 3 all time wrestler.

Waiting for Ole to come here and shyt on Naitch though

Notice how he keeps the balance on the tip of his toes for the entire maneuver.
It was so dope how he adjusted his style to that back injury man was made to be a wrestler lol vince should have let him go until he had a hear attack in the ring.

*Waits for @stro to come in and tell why he wasn't*

He was the shyts. An absolute p*ssy who only knew how to stooge to the crowd and the office. That snaggled toothed c*nt lost every fight he ever tried to start.

"Good Worker" depends on your lens (to an extent within reason) but yes Flair was top notch

People tend to think that their "favorite" style is what makes a good worker. This is a TV show. A good "in-ring" worker is someone who is wholly believable in their "in-ring" role. Flair was that.

He wasn't a flippy shyt worker
or the strongest
or the best technician

But was more than capable, believable, and always put on a show. His willingness to work shows in his old age when he was still blading himself in his last WWE run :mjlol:

Truly a GOAT :wow:

One thing that should be taken into consideration was his lack of creativity. I'm not even talking about match formula stuff (well, kinda), but he started his career taking on the Rhodes name trying to be a Dusty clone. That didn't work, so he moved on to taking Buddy Roger's name, look, gimmick, AND finish, Jackie Fargo's strut, then took Harley's and Johnny Valentine's spots and matches, but did them faster. All while never really giving them credit for his success (outside of thanking Harley for dropping the belt to him) while jacking their shyt while they were still active.

Imagine some guy in the 90s in Japan deciding he was going to wear green and white, throw elbows, do a burning hammer, do corner yakuza kicks, throw a jumping knee and yell OHHHH, then call himself The Great Muta.
