Part 3 :scusthov:

That movie don't exist to me

It's not as classic as the first 2 but it's necessary for the Trilogy.

I been saying for a minute that we need a Godfather Part 4 so Andy Garcia can comeback and be The Don. We gotta hurry up and do it before he dies.

Vito didn't back down to protect Mike and Fredo. He step up a meeting for peace talks because he knew that Tattaglia and Sollozzo were being backed by one of the other bosses and he needed to figure out which one. In the scene after the meeting when he's in the car with Tom he tells him that he knew someone was backing them but he didn't know until then that it was Barzini. He wanted Mike back because he'd be useful once they made the move to go back to war but Fredo stayed in the bushes where he belonged because he would only be in the way.

No...in the car after the peace meeting, he knew it was Barzini that had Sonny shot up like that but he vowed not to go after anyone with Mike having to be brought back to NY.

alot of ppl will put mike ahead because the movies showed how intelligent he was. I haven't seen part three but the only memorable shyt i remember vito doing was the fannuci hit that started it all. i'd need to see those deleted scenes before i made a decision.

between GF2, the book, and the deleted scenes theres plenty of backstory on his rise to power. his spot is solidified as best movie don ever.

actually yo, i suggest all you GF fans to watch the deleted scenes from these 3 movies. i have the special edition trilogy set that came out a long time ago but theres like no joke an hours worth of deleted scenes. and you can watch them all back to back like a movie. theres mad deleted scenes from the young vito days

man i need to see this..is a torrent out or link

U gotta be coldhearted and ruthless to be the best boss or don in a criminal world

Yea Vito was legendary and would prolly win "Father of the year" but as a boss for a criminal organization, Mike succeeded him and took the family to levels never touched before..Vito was the Godfather but Mike was the Boss of all Bosses when it was all said n done...he ran a bigger piece of the pie...not just a piece of NY

So idk why ppl using mikes "coldness" against him....it's better to be feared than loved:manny:

Michael is just so cold, the older I get the more I appreciate Pacino'(and relate to him Brando/Deniro)s performance - truly the greatest role he has ever played (Part I & II more than III).

I don't think anybody has brought up what to me was just the most gangster thing he did, is when he brought Pentangeli's brother to that court case. In front of all them lawyers, judges, cops, cameras etc. Pentangeli literally went from:russ: :youngsabo::ooh::patrice::whoo::dwillhuh::ohhh::whoa: .

And Mike was :demonic: all the way, ironic that he used somebody's brother to set him straight considering how the movie ends.

And then he sent Tom Hagen to talk dude into offing himself :wow:

Yeah, that was some G chit. "If you gon' snitch, snitch in front of your fams, nicca..."

It's a shame Pentangeli replaced Clemenza, it would've added another level imo.

The reason we're using his coldness against him is because being the Don is about more than being ruthlessness. Hell, Sonny was ruthless, but he was also a hot head and couldn't make smart decisions because he let his emotions rule him. The problem is, Mike let everything around him crumble because of his coldness and suffered because of it.

But this is arguable too, though.

Hyman Roth was making them moves...the only thing that fucced him up was not getting asylum after Cuba fell.
If Rocco wasn't down basically to do a suicide mission, Hyman still lives (sidebar: I still trip off that a li'l bit.
Being so down for your Godfather that you'll do a hit you know you won't survive, like Rocco and Don Tommasino's
butler in Part 3. Crazy...). And really doe...Hyman stood up there like a fuccin' hogg and basically told Micheal
"don't be askin' me these questions, because you already know whassup..."

Like somebody else said in here, Vito summed up the whole family by saying:

"I love my children, I spoil them...but they talk when they should listen."

Each one of the Corleone kids got where they got by showing their hand and trying to do too much.
Michael did it less than the others, though.

Mike's fukk up had to do more with his personal family which he paid for in the end

In terms of business, he ran that sh1t beautifully....became the top organization in the nation....even made them legitimate

So when u ask who was the better Don, i think strictly business and who had a more successful organization...which was Mike's...in my opinion

so vito would probably do this :snoop: if he saw where Michael took the family

Of course he would. He told Michael a man who doesn't spend time with his family isn't a man and ultimately, Michael was a terrible father and a worse husband, ostracized everyone close to him, killed his brother and ultimately, that greed and ruthlessness caused the death of his youngest child
