Was '99 the year when Wu Tang started to show cracks in the armor with jawns like Rae's Immobilarity, GZA's Beneath the Surface, Dirt's Ni$%a Please+

The coli never admits this, maybe they were too young, but the aura started to fade when Forever dropped. People don't understand the expectations we had for that album. We expected CLASSIC CLASSIC, not 4 mics.
97’ if we being honest

Most older heads won’t feeling Wu Forever

then the second wave of all those second solos and RZA’s Bobby Digital album was the nail in the coffin
Most of us saw the cracks in '97.

The run was over right after Forever dropped.

. . . all facts . . . at the time Forever was a disappointment for those who were old enough to experience the first wave in real-time . . and by "old enough" i mean that you were at least in your early-teens when 36 dropped. . .

Nah it was Iron Flag project, that sh1t did not sell and the tight group function started to loosen publicly. Rae and RZA only just made up on that 'Staten to Shaolin.' Rae joint.

these are TERRIBLE takes
Every Wu (solos and 36) get played by me but Forever just doesn't do it for me. I haven't listened to that album in years. It's never crossed my mind in years. It also may be the most forgettable double album released by artists of their status as well.

The damage was done during the flood in 95?. They put out a few more gems, but by the time Wu Tang Forever came out, the Wu was staggering.

I remember how much love regular MTV was giving them for the album, which was 180 from the Protect Ya Neck days.... But hip hop at that point had really gone Hollywood....

That album is better than Kendrick Lamar's entire existence.

... never listened any of Kendrick's tapes . .. only song besides Not Like Us that i heard is "HiiiPOWER" and that was after Styles P spit over the beat on some random mixtape . . . and wanted to find out if the original artist did it justice. . . .

I just...don't agree. I listen to like 14-15 songs from Forever regularly in the winter
