The 4th quarter of this game was :mjlol:

I haven't seen an mvp get their pockets ran like that since GS did it to Dirk four scores and 7 years ago...

They just don't have a small forward who can play well offensively for sustained minutes...

Iggy is okay but he can't draw a tenth of the attention on offense that KD does...

And now Draymonds lack of offense is really hurting this team...cause his guy just fukking loads up on steph or klay and when they swing the ball to draymond he can't do much of anything with it...

In the 4th Olynk really was like fukk guarding anybody and just kept doubling steph:mjlol:

I know how you feel warriors stans I spent the last 3 years watching danny green somehow be absolutely atrocious on offense even though nobody makes any attempt to guard him anywhere on the floor...

Warriors are 2-3 since Durant's injury, including the Washington game, and they've only played Eastern Conference teams.

You guys think Spurs are going to pull ahead and finish with the top seed? And if they do is there really any doubting that Kawhi is going to be MVP?

Spurs record without Kawhi and Cavs record without Lebron are practically the same.

Spurs only ahead in the standings because they're 5-1 when Kawhi sits but Cavs are 0-5 when Lebron sits.

Hell, 2/3 of the Cav losses even with Lebron are only because of the giant runs the Cavs hemorrhage in the 10 minutes that Lebron has to sit each game.

Spurs play in the West. Cavs play in the East.

Cavs are 14-10 against the West. Spurs are 28-8 against the West.

Kawhi's supporting cast is also nowhere near as good, although Pop sort of levels that out, but Kawhi's defense>>>>>>>Lebron's.

Lebron's teams have usually been just as good against the West as against the East this year. Even this year the Cavs were 8-1 against the West, with victories already racked up over Houston, San Antonio, Memphis, and Golden State, until that road trip where JR got hurt and Love/Shump got nagging injuries and started missing games and they went 4-8 over their next 10 games against WC teams. Take out that awful 4-8 injury-plagued run, which took place in the space of less than a month (the first 6 losses were all in 2 weeks) and could have happened no matter which conference they were in, and the Cavs are 10-2 against the West with quality wins against every good Western Conference team.

Kawhi's man-to-man defense is better than Lebron's, although there is that oft-quoted set of numbers...

The usual field goal percent of the shooter that the player is defending

LeBron - 44.8%

Kawhi - 44.9%

Defense Dashboard

2pt FGs - Players shot 8.2% worse than their average when defended by LeBron

2pt FGs - Players shot 7.3% worse than their average when defended by Kawhi

3pt FGs - Players shots 2.7% worse than their average when defended by LeBron

3pt FGs - Players shot 1.3% worse than their average when defended by Kawhi

Overall - Players shot 7.4% worse than their average when defended by LeBron on 8.4 Defended FGs Per Game

Overall - Players shot 5.7% worse than their average when defended by Kawhi on 9.4 Defended FGs Per Game

Play type

Kawhi - 243 possessions, .65 ppp allowed, 35.8 eFG

LeBron - 78 possessions, .74 ppp, 40.8 eFG

Kawhi - 96 possessions, 1.05 ppp, 51.2 eFG

I'm not saying it makes Lebron better than Kawhi, but the stats suggest that the gap is MUCH closer than you're trying to make it seem. Lebron still creates problems for the man he guards every single game. And that gap in man-to-man defense is partially cancelled out by the fact that Lebron is a better rim protector than Kawhi.

And Lebron is a better scorer than Kawhi, a better passer than Kawhi, a better ballhandler than Kawhi, and a better rebounder than Kawhi.
