That black QB was cut for a journeyman just a few days before the season started. Alex Smith is starting, man. Matt Cassell too. Flynn got a mega deal off of 1 game.

the one game Panthers game I watched the most out of this year the loss was 100% Rivera's fault for not going for it on 4th and inches. I'm sure he's cost them more than that and I haven't heard his name once. No wonder coaches rarely take chances in the NFL...long as u always play it safe you ain't making headlines for losses.

The jags had Gabbert waiting though, the thinking was to play Garrard until Gabbert was ready probably the whole season. but Garrard Played horrible that preseason damn Mccown damn ouplayed him lol, so i guess they didnt want to pay him. It was found out later that he was playing injured. None of that had anything to do with his skin color.

and would you replace Alex Smith with Garrard? or Leftwitch? Im thinking if a team wants to upgrade at QB, they wanna make sure its a marginal upgrade. Or they draft one. but thats just my opinion

Alex Smith being able to start is luck more than anything.
Cassel had people cheering when he got knocked out of a game
and I'm pretty sure scouts were looking at Matt Flynn before that Lions game(could be wrong though).

Sure they could have gotten a guy like Garrard or something but would that have really been making progress? With guys like Garrard you already know he's an average QB, no sense in wasting money on him when you already have him on the roster.
