The only one who had a prayer to make this work was Nolan, and if Nolan passed it up even he had his reasons which could be same or worse as what Peele's about to git

Anime adaptations of big-scale stories like this DO NOT WORK. I'll be the first to praise Peele to the heavens if he proves us all wrong but it's a dumb project - been in the works for decades, no one could make it work right and just because Peele's got talent doesn't ensure it's gonna come together

They want him to fall into the same trap that M Night did when they gave him The Last Air Bender.

If he's smart he'll stick to just making other movies like Get Out (he said he has four others planned) where he can control the narrative, this is just a distraction from White Hollywood to stop him from doing that.

Tbh, Akira might only be workable in anime form, where ppl already expect wierd shyt to happen, I can't imagine any good outcome for an Akira movie no matter who gets the job. Just leave this shyt alone damnit
