Exactly why I stopped playing....honestly id start back if they just started over and re released vanilla wow.

I stopped PvE because it going boring to me. I started PvPing 3 months ago and i learned alot about my class and made me better. I cant walk away right now because im still interested in pvping and getting better at it. As for raiding, forget about it. I sold all my PvE gear for vendor gold just to show my dedication to PvP. But once i get tired of PvP,this game can go into the :trash:. So lets hope they dont fukk up that aspect of the game.

WoW was amazing when it first started then wanted to appeal to the mainstream more and more with each expansion. They kept players on a never ending treadmill with gear/arenas.

I miss the old days of World PVP and feeling like the horde and alliance were truly at war... Ashenvale/astranaar battles..southshore/hillsbrad fights...waiting at Black Rock mountain for 40-man MC and BWL raids and taking out stragglers...

all that magic was lost the moment they introduced battlegrounds and arenas...world PVP was killed that day.

Also, they never matched their original raid dungeons that they put together (Molten-core, Blackwing Lair, Onyxia, Ahn'Qiraj, ZG)

Back when I played (and I only played PVP for the entire 5 years I played) getting pvp gear meant something. When you ran up on a player that was decked out you had to respect him in a sense cuz you know dude put in some hours. Cats would walk up on me asking how you got this and that etc. Now theyve made it where anyone can compete and that made me lose interest. They kinda destroy ed the sense of accomplishment for me to appeal to the casual gamers. Also I hate that they got rid of twinks...of course I understand but you got to put in work to compete.

I started playing in BC, the game was so much fukking fun :ahh:.

dem battleground battles were legit awesome, I didn't even give a fukk about raiding and all that bullshyt - just the PvP. They ruin the game with WoTLK to me, the gear and stats got way out of fukking control on top of all that they can't balance the classes in PvP for shyt.

Some of the funnest times i've ever had was playing vanilla WoW and the amount of fukkery was going on constantly....Trolling the alliance with kiting a world boss into their towns. :ahh: World PvP was the shyt back then, alot people stopped world pvp after BC for some reason

World PVP was dead even by the end of Vanilla. It got to the point where I had to go directly into Ironforge VIA the tram in stormwind to get action.

My warrior friend that I used to pvp with constantly made a few pvp videos with world pvp that I'm featured in.

Caunstantine 2 - Part 1 Warrior PvP (World of Warcraft) - Video

This was at the end of Vanilla when you could actually play arenas at level 60. I'm the tauren shaman, I had the best elemental gear you could get in the game and I could 2 shot the warrior who made this video, shyt was some of the funnest times I had playing video games. He had to use engineering/potions/whipper roots and all his cooldowns in the video to beat me. He starts dueling me around 3:30 though I'm on that savory delight.

one of the funniest moments in WoW I was pvping in duskwood, I was only about level 35 and this was back when Enhancement shamans with windfury were insane because they hadn't nerfed windfury yet, so windfury could proc off of windfury strikes. So me and my warrior buddy are fukking everyone up and they call level 60 alliance in and they kill us both and sit on our bodies. So I'm chilling as a ghost and noticed a level 40 priest was sitting down near my corpse. In WoW if you sit down and you get attacked it is automatically a critical strike, so I ressurrect, put windfury on my 2handed axe and 1 shot this level 40 priest with crits and a windfury proc while he is sitting down just as the level 60 killed me again :heh:

so much comedy I wish I could've caught on camera.

I never did understand how some people are addicted to that game. Is it really that good or are there just that many super nerds out there?

I cant wrap my head around WOW. I used to play RPGs, is it like a RPG on crack? I dont even know what you do in it? Is it a huge world where you ride around, kill things, gain powers? Whats this raid thing or the leerooy jenkins? Do you group up with other nikkas and take on a big boss? Why is this so addictive? :skip:

all of the above. The player vs player is what makes it addictive, its nothing like getting some gear that took you months to get ....and once you do its like :shaq: everybody getting raped until the next patch.

Yes to all your questions. It's just an RPG that you can play with other people. The Leeroy Jenkins thing was an intentional comedic joke. There is a dungeon called Upper Black Rock spire and that area has a bunch of eggs in it that you can hatch if you run over them.

Back in vanilla WoW the hardest raid dungeons required a 40 man group. I don't know if you have ever tried to organize 40 people getting together to play and learn how to kill bosses but it was insane (and insanely fun). I remember it taking 2 weeks for us to kill these guys:

It's addictive for the same reasons Morrowind is addictive. You collect loot, get stronger, get new abilities, level up etc. WoW designed it to where they would release new dungeons every few months so that you would have to upgrade your gear again and it gave you a reason to play.

For me the addictiveness wore off after the first expansion and what made the game originally great was gone. In the subsequent expansions they made it so you could do the hardest raid dungeons with only 10 or 5 people.

It was a HUGE time sink but god damn was it fun back in the day. You can go back and listen to videos where guilds first down these old school bosses and everyone is SCREAMING on ventrilo after they kill a boss for the first time. shyt was insanely satisfying.

Knew a cat who got so hooked on this shyt that he started to miss work. I refuse to play this shyt if it is addictive enough to fukk your money up.
