LOL Black people have bought into Cole to. Cole is better and has made music people fw more.

and clever lyrically dont mean shyt, Cole is the better overall rapper and artist having made more enjoyable albums does he have some bad ones? yep, but so does Wale . Plus lyrically, cole has stepped up and is better than Wale now. better rhymer, better at punchlines, just as good at the metpahors/wordplay to.

your still holding on to shyt like this:russell:, go listen to the Off Season
I like J Cole but he was initially propped up as the anti-drake. That’s where a lot of his appeal started. White people bought into this racially ambiguous rapper. Wale is Black. You’ll be hard pressed to find a white Wale fan or white folks at his shows like that. As far as singles… what has Cole really had besides the work out? And being featured on the joint with Miguel? Wale has more singles that stay on the radio(Lotus flower bomb, on chill, Bad, that way) . That said, KOD & 2014 FHD are Coles dope projects to me.

Cole the better rapper, makes more interesting alluring music, kills it on features, etc

huge differences between the two. im not even a big cole fan. But cole is significantly better than Wale

I disagree strongly with all of this except the features part.

Cole is a great rapper, but Wale is too, and in terms of word play, creativity, he has a significant edge.

Also ya'll care too much about album sales.

Elton John debuted in the 60s and has sold over 300 million records.

These two are not the same.

It doesnt matter dawg... I said Elton to say everyone ,no matter whooooo you are will lose sales. I dont know why these threads exist... omg Wale cant go go gold no more.. is that really a moment now?

Damn...

j coles biggest singles are no role modelz, wet dreams and middle child

they are all 5-6x platinum

idk about his new tour but no role modelz was the song he finished his last few tours with…it’s probably overall still his biggest song

youll be hard pressed to find white fans of any rapper that is less main stream. that aint a wale exlcusive right here

idk if your trolling or just dumb right here:dahell:
Wale is Black.
okay i didnt want to turn this into that, but stop it. Wale is a African, Africans have been proven to be given and seen in better view than Black americans(which J cole is one). to say and use Wale being African is ludicrous espescially as ,media doesnt hesitate to push Africans if they can in the limelight. but ultimately Wale is just not good enough to push or for people to care.

It has nothing to do with "Cole is lightskin he gets pushed". Wale just aint it

Post examples of wale's wordplay that gives him a "significant edge" and his creativity

Cole for the better part of post 2017 has been lyrically improved, as shown on songs like Under the sun, American Dream, Off season Album etc

and conceptually they at the same level when it comes to making up ideas for songs and albums

i feel like you only saying Wale is better because of him being under the guise and lane of being a "Poet"

which dont mean shyt without the content and proof

Post above yours already corrected me on the singles. J Cole is biracial. And “I don’t like drake I’m a j Cole fan” was a thing on social media and Cole benefited from that. It’s always more than just music that makes an artist blow. A biracial college grad that was the alternative to Drake vs a Dark skinned African college dropout… image is a lot. Musically and skill-wise my argument is that they are not that far apart.

If skills sold Wale would be plat every time.

The facts his fans are incapable of making a case for dude without saying "people hate him cause he's dark-skinned" is hilarious. Only rapper in this world held back by being black.

J Cole is biracial
and he is still ADOS/Black american, Wale is a african. NonADOS people like him if they can and have the pull get pushed by the media if they have people's interest.

But Wale aint that.

if you want to make it about lightskin/darkskin

Kendrick is around and does numbers just as much as Cole if not more and he is darkskin.

Not only that.. He tapped moreso into that "woke" black twitter crowd and went that route with Forest Hill Drive

Has nothing to do with color when Kendrick it’s about to out sell Drakes first week numbers once he drops again. Sometimes the public gravitates toward you and sometimes they don’t. Wale had his run and will tour small venues and be fine.
