How many threads are we gonna make on this topic? :francis:

The squabble over Kamala not being "Black " or "Black enough" is just a distraction. It's either Kamala or Trump. A or B. If it's not Kamala, then it's Trump. Trump is a significantly worse option than Kamala for Black people. This is clearly the case, and if you disagree I'm pretty sure you're a Trump supporter.

There is no third option. There is no #BothSides to whether we can get these insane cacs (and one c00n) off the Supreme Court, stop Project 2025, or put Trump under the jail.

If you disagree, you're not being serious.

The point is that Kamala's race is irrelevant and a distraction from talking about actual issues and policies.

She has never claimed to be FBA/ADOS, and Black Americans don't have a monopoly on Black identity. Black identity is not restricted to the US. She is just as "Black" as The Rock or Barack Obama.

Whether or not Kamala (or Obama for that matter) is FBA is irrelevant to begin with, because one does not need to be FBA/ADOS to be considered "Black".

She's multiracial. She identifies as a Black woman just as often as she identifies as an Indian woman...because she's both. And both are valid.

Maybe it's because I was a kid when he was elected, but I never heard anyone question Barack's blackness. There was the birther thing later on but that was only white people who did that. And there were a few instances of people implying he was an arab Muslim ( like when Hilary's camp put out that photo of him in a turban) but that again was white people and that never really caught any traction.

Most black people didn't support him at first, but that was more because people assumed a black man had no chance of winning, not because they didn't think he was black.

Frankly, the difference between then and now is that if the opposition or a public figure said something like that back in the day, it would've just made them look dumb. People have less shame these days + political/cultural overton window is in a completely different place now.
