I just took a look at his match with William Regal at No Mercy 2006...even watching Benoit come out is very disconcerting, especially after watching the first part of that Vice doc. He's got a full thousand-yard stare going that I never really noticed, and it makes watching that match a very weird experience (especially in light of hearing that Nancy desperately wanted him off the road and away from wrestling around this time).

There are so many stories about him bullying and harassing younger wrestlers and using his seniority to make people’s lives hell just because he could. A good dude doesn’t just randomly snap and kill his family. Benoit’s violent and aggressive behavior had been on display for years whether it was through his horrible treatment of his co-workers or habitually beating his wife. Chris Benoit was a great wrestler, but he wasn’t a good man and people need to stop telling that lie. There’s plenty of people with CTE that have committed suicide, but Benoit is the only one that killed his wife and kid as well. The guy was a monster with or without CTE.

although Vice did a great job with the first part of the doc, everyone they put on was close to him. They are all remembering him as the great kind guy who never did anything wrong until his friend died. They should have had other people with different opinions of him.
