Where did you pull that from? He never had an arrogant air about him whatsoever and always put people over. He campaigned hard to put MVP over in their match at Mania 23 and went out of his way to make sure he would look as great as possible. CTE is proven to alter someone's behavior and make them more violent. Like a previous poster said no one is excusing what he did.

You don't know what someone is like in their home life. Just because a few of his peers like him doesn't mean he's not an a$$hole to others. You don't have any friends that are dikkheads to their own family members. The reason he put others over is because he knew he wasn't a star that could use political pull the way others could. Football is a violent sport. And wrestling although it's fake attracts fukked up individuals with violent behavior. Hockey players get CTE. How many of them had caused violence outside the rink.

Only to those that value in ring work. He wasn't a mainstream draw. The casual fan didn't buy tickets to see him like they did Hogan, Austin or Rock or many others.

I know, I’m speaking of how revered they are relative to their popularity back then. Neither one was THE man but a lot of people preferred them over Hogan and Flair. Benoit would have been looked at in the same way had he died without killing his family.

shyt was surreal.I remember for some reason anticipating that Raw that monday not knowing what had happen. and I see Vince in the ring in an empty arena. I was shook after the announcement.

Nobody sees Benoit is their class. Had Benoit not done what he did very few would remember or give a shyt about him. None wrestling fans know who the others are but only know Benoit for what he did.

Based on your other posts, you seem very angry or offended or something, but this is simply terribly wrong. I’ll give you popularity wise for Macho Man but not Rick Rude. If people know Eddie, they know Benoit. It’s pretty cut and dry.

Neither were at Rick Rude's level. Benoit and Eddie were very fortunate to be part of a boom time in wrestling and should never have been a world champion. Rick Rude was very deserving to be one.

Yeah, Vince was supposed to be dead too at the time. One of those things I will never forget

I still remember that shyt...my brothers and one of my friends were with me and we were eating when Raw came on. I wasn't looking at the screen and one of them said "Chris Benoit died?" Since that show was originally supposed to be Vince's "funeral" I was like " Benoit? Nah, it's Vince that died, it's a dumb storyli-" and then looking at the screen and being . Then Vince is in the ring in an empty arena...like what the fukk.

I thought it was apart of the storyline cause my dad let the cat out the bag about wrestling being scripted cause I freaking out about seeing Vince "die" two weeks earlier, keep in mind I was just 10 years old but he told me that Benoit really died and I was like .

Then when it came out the next day that he murdered his family I was like .

I don't know why I didn't notice it then but if you go back and see Benoit's last few appearances, mans was out of it, eyes looked soulless, like he knew he was bout to kill somebody.

I can still watch all of Benoit's stuff up until his return from his hiatus in '06. He just looked gone
