The overwhelming narrative at the time was that Megan and kelsey were fighting over the gun, and that megan was atleast partially responsible for getting shot. You even had a false narrative that Megan tested positive for gunshot residue.

All I can say from following the trial and updates on this case is that this wasn't worth no damn 10 year sentence. Shoulda got 6 months in county and probation.
