Once that felon has paid the debt for their crime they are citizens again and should have all the rights that go with it. If a felon is going to lose their rights for life then they should get a lifetime prison sentence. If the crime didn't warrant that by law then denying them rights is bullshyt.

Your blanket reparations strawman doesn't work as an argument because by definition reparations can't be a blanket thing. Reparations is making restitution to a group that has been wronged in some way.
