Addressing the talent that actually did travel. I still think that was worst than the ones that like say ...the Colons... that actually were home on the couch.

Cuz now you had a bunch of guys that just leave their families, spend unnecessary money from city to city (travel, hotel, food at their own expense) just to get to the arena and hang out backstage or (our favorite running joke that sadly actually isn’t a running joke) in catering only to not be used. Can’t leave till the show ends only to have to do it over and over.

Yes yes they may occasionally have a jobber squash match, be background in a skit where an angry monster/star wrestler is searching for his “feud guy” (and they either run, get punked or beat up), be in a backstage party as a spectator, or comedically chase the 25/8 Intestate I-85 Champion.

But if that’s all their being used for, that in itself has BEEEEEN a waste of money for all parties involved.

Now matter where these guys go, I do generally hope they go somewhere where they can actually get a decent opportunity to build their stock back up. Cuz people love to talk about “the money” but the money really won’t be there is your brand is destroyed. Kurt Hawkins could be the next big great star but he will never ever make Cena money if he’s pushed like a joke.

Just like Stunning Steve or Ringmaster would’ve never been an all time great until he got an opportunity to really show what he can do and was protected/built with some type of care

-Hawkins has been fired before though. Came back the same person. There was no Dre Mcintyre transformation for him.
-Again, the shows were being written write up until showtime, they didn't know if they were using someone like No Way Jose until that very day. It's just how they did things, and at the end of the day that was those wrestlers job, to be there and be ready at any given moment. It's still a job.

And I finally went and found where that "half of billion in cash" came from. On the WWE website it says a total of a half billion via cash and debt capacity.

For all those saying 'so and so' should go to AEW? Where would they find the air time, and money to pay these cats with only 3 hours of TV/week and no house shows?

If WWE dont have the space/ air time for these guys, not many options left. 98% of the indies wont be able to pay these guys well. Some of them will go wrestle at these indies 'for the love of wrestling' and if they saved some good coin, and some will be brought back. Its just a shytty time for all companies right now.

Maybe its just me, but I don't see AEW going after all these people. I said earlier that they'd probably go after Lio Rush, Rowan, and maybe Ryder. Since some of these additional names have come out, I'm revising it to just Rush, Rusev, and maybe Rowan. I'm sure AEW is on some sort of freeze at the moment with everything going on. IMO Impact/NWA/ROH are going to feast, but other than the 2-4 people I mentioned, there isn't a lot of appeal or a fit with most of the names.

By the way, not sure if this has been asked or not, but for those who were deavored today, are they free to work elsewhere now or do they have to wait out the 90 days?

If Rusev getting released isn’t true, then that’s kinda poor taste in him trolling on Twitter considering dozens of people are losing their income.

All speculation at this point, just saying

Kinda like the speculation that they are got money on the way out that some keep saying based off one tweet.

Don’t get me wrong, maybe it is true

But I do kinda find it weird that when names like Meltzer been dropping shyt, cats in here been like “he don’t know, he hating, he making shyt up he don’t have the facts”

But some random guy tweets they getting money (like no one even mentioned that guys name, just been referring to is as “some tweet”) people been running with that as a fact and using it for their arguments instead of treating that too as speculation.

If he really is serious about this and wanna make a power move need to talk to some folks and come up with a plan to snatch some of these folks up.

Cuz again, not all these guys are “indie” type talent and not all them are gonna be able to go to AEW/IMPACT/ROH and some may not wanna leave America and go to Japan or Mexico.

He need to be having some meetings now, even if he don’t grab them, just to have a plan or plan it out.
