The club could have been left but their boy was there so they stayed. they kept most of these guys just to hate on aew. Now they need the money smh.

And Rowan was given a dumb gimmick and used it failing to give reason to cut him.

EC 3 never had a chance

same for Eric young

the colons should have been quit or been fired. sarah Logan is a stray lol
Kurt angle? I thought he retired anyway

Vince is a typical old rich white man, he’s no better than trump. I’ve been no watch gang since WM and I’m staying that way until this shyt gets back to normal

I mean yeah but now? Like right now? During these uncertain times :francis: I understand but you just hate to see it.
That's the only issue I have with this, the timing is bad and they could've afforded to keep them a little while longer. The reality is that when you look at the list there's only a few that stick out, but the majority weren't doing or weren't valuable anyway. I can easily see Gallows & Anderson being brought back if they don't decide to go elsewhere.
They have to worry about Their own roster they not just signing people niw
Unless Tony pays them out of his own pocket they're not going to sign anyone new.

No.... I been known about it where the $500M came from and reasons behind it.

Im talking about the “rumor” that everyone that was let go got money.

I was say “THAT” is something that should’ve take with as much of a grain of salt as the same folks that are calling Meltzer or any other wrestling journalists as bullshyt.

Meltzer making shyt up to always be as negative as possible is not in any way, shape, or form the same as employees/contractors getting a final payment.

It’s common practice in business for an employee (or independent contractor) who is under contract to receive pay for X-amount of days negotiated in that contract if they are released from it early. This isn’t new. Typically with WWE it’s 30-90 days.

So any wrestler getting released will get their 30-90 days of pro-rated downside pay. Just like a banker would at a bank. A contractor would in construction, etc.

Is it even worth it though? None of those other promotions will ever surpass WWE. I tried to give AEW a chance but wasn't into it. Only Bishoff/WCW came close to dethroning Vince.

well first of all..... no one is or will ever “dethrone” the WWE in 6 months.

Like WWE has had over 4000 eps of tv shyt from RAW to Superstars.

Probably a 1000 ppvs, you really think whether AEW (who’s only had like 20 something eps and 3 or 4 ppvs) or any other company in less time can achieve that?

It takes time just like it took NWA/WCW time to match and then overcome WWF. And it even took them time to reclaim the hold back from WCW, both more time than everyone is or has been giving AEW (and any other Fed not named Impact or ROH)

I know i was just circling back to the previous point about "cash reserves".

:dahell:

You realize that House Of Glory run sporadically as hell, right? Their last show was December 7th.

I want to see them succeed, but they're not realistically making a run at anyone without a TV deal, and P would be crazy to pour money into pro-wrestling. right now.

And having stars (since everyone in it from the WWE is a star per Vince and some coli brehs):hubie::whoa:

Would help sweeten them TV deals.

And no, I’m not saying they should just BLINDLY go out to pour out their banks and sign all these guys.

But I’m saying if he’s serious, today he should be calling all his people in that circle into a meeting to discuss a plan and figure out what would work, what would make sense, and what can they actually do to help grow their product and maybe secure some things they trynna do.

We all know there is going to be a “bounce back” we just don’t know when.

But if you’re not planning for the future now, he’d regret maybe say (if possible) not scooping up a Rusev NOW. Vs trynna do it when shyt is better and not he DEFINITELY has AEW, ROH, IMPACT, NJPW, and possibly WWE calling him.

At worst I think he should have some Ken one staff making “contact” with them just to say “hey we’re here too” to get a little bit of attention.

If that makes sense, like we used to say in the south “put a bug in their ear”

I often wonder if Vince is too big headed or too cheap to have a Team of Accountants to watch over the Company Spending seperate from the Company Budget. Seems this type of thing happens far too often and I understand it's better to blame this 1 on The Rona but at the same time, this isn't the 1st Time that WWE has made cutbacks including Talent, that shyt just Sucks to hear about these Men and Women being Punished for his Stupidity.

Scumbag shyt. Live events are cancelled for the next few months so it's not like these wrestlers can hit the indies and make some money. I understand that after Wrestlemania they usually release a bunch of talent but under these circumstances they could have made an exception! :gucci:

Who am I kidding?! Vince McMahon is a guy who is buddies with Donald Trump, his wife works in the Trump administration, said wife used politics to get Florida to designate WWE as essential so they can run empty arena shows. The same company who knew their top guy had a weakened immune system due to TWO bouts of cancer but would have been fine with that wrestler wrestling and possibly get exposed to covid 19. Carnies gonna carny.

Yuji Nagata is 51, Satoshi Kojima is 49. Still running wild. On preliminary matches, but still.

With the economic hit puro companies are gonna get with this pandemic, if Gallows and Anderson get a steady gig in Japan (with an initial push) then the "if he worked on US TV, he will be featured" puro golden rule will never be broken :dead:
