Does there really have to be big skyscrapers, malls, and fast food joints for some of you to truly enjoy Africa?

It's clear with all the "modern" post "Africa is just like us" Some people do want a highly westernize lifestyle.
There is nothing wrong with that but at the same time I think what makes Africa great is that is not entirely spoiled with westernized shyt.
Folk's on here complain about living in the south and wouldn't even think about living in rural south but want to move to fukking Africa.
Don't get me started on NYer's talking about how NY is better where ever they go.....

Who said anything about that? We've been posting capital cities and/or economic / urban centers. That's just how they look. And those cities are the most popular cities in their respective countries.
Do you want us to post more rural / smaller towns? Is that what you are asking?

There's a dozen 'Back to Africa' threads on here. It's nice to post pics and videos but they don't paint a complete picture or tell the whole story. We can't all go back to Africa 'just because'. We need a real strategy....some concrete ideas. Us being Americans/Europeans puts us at a huge advantage over the native Africans as we have money and education. We need to muster a way to leverage those resources and make a meaningful contribution to Africa.
I think it's a good idea to first take advantage of being in the US/EU by obtaining a degree and 'getting your money up' THEN go to Africa. Africa needs more engineers, doctors, businessmen, programmers, etc. In order for countries like Nigeria and South Africa to grow they need foreign investments. Better to have black foreign investors than Chinese/Americans/Europeans. The dollar maybe devaluing but our money still goes a long way in some of these countries.
