Videogames that could make decent Films/Tv shows

ok, resident evil was cool, but that's like one movie
i'm not gonna try to defend the quality of video game movies thus far.. it's a losing battle.. the worst movie i ever saw was a video game movie
just saying that i don't think they should stop trying just because they haven't gotten it right so far. there were plenty of awful comic book movies before this recent trend of good ones.
need for speed was a pretty decent need for speed adaptation. obviously not a great movie.. probably not even a good one.. but i thought it captured nfs pretty nice.
That gore verbinski bioshock movie would have been amazing. Gore refused to make it without an R rating and the studio got cold feet.
Neil bloomkamps halo would have been dope.
i get that most video games movies had low budgets and stupid scripts and directors.

The new hitman trailer looks like it has a big budget and looks good imo. They did fail to find an actor that looks cool with a bald head and there were to many explosion for a videogame based on stealth.
A splinter cell movie is being made with Tom hardy playing sam fisher. So hopefully they will be good movies
Gullermo dem Toro was rumored to make a bioshock game, and that guy is a gamer(it turned out to be a lie). can you imagine rapture directed by del Toro?
lots of games would make great films, it just hasnt happened yet.I don't see it bro. Two completely different formats. Metal Gear Solid is my favorite franchise of all time but it basically already is a fukking movie.
I just think it's always going to come off corny no matter what. I hope we get a good one that provese wrong though
Its just a matter of getting a good writer/director. Uncharted and tlou could make great films. Same as bioshock.
One great film would open the flood gates.
I blame the video game studios getting a quick buck instead of making sure the property is in good hands.
I think Assassins creed or splinter cell could be dope if done correctly
we'll probably have to wait til the comic book bubble bursts.
most of the good screenwriters are in TV now so i have little faith a studio will get a good one for a videogame franchise ..at least in this point in time
