I don't find it hard to believe he hasn't heard of the specific artists he mentioned, though. Mobb Deep wasn't an A-tier group in the 90's.

Neither was Tribe, really. They were platinum selling and obviously well known but it's not like they were doing Death Row numbers. Or even Wu numbers.

He'd probably nut on himself after listening to Black Moon, Heltah Skeltah, and Smiff n' Wessun.

Kids are so out-of-touch with what actual 'wordplay' consists of, they'd probably think a metaphor was something to smoke.​
