What’s so tiresome about these conversations is that yall *act* stupid. You know most bw are not “divesting” or even know what that means, you know that whole “movement” is by bw who feel abandoned and disrespecting by bm, whether you agree or not, you know this. You call them bitter all the time, so it’s not like you don’t know where the motive comes from.
So why play dumb about it?
You don’t see black female celebs happily breeding white kids, making their entire esthetic about white boys, making songs for the whole word to know how unattractive and undesirable they find black men compared to white, latin non-black men, but we have several black males do that.
We make jokes about the draft. We make jokes about these videos. And it’s like….at some point you’ve gotta stop calling these girls delusional.
We all see what’s going on. Instead of just keeping it a buck yall want to act like these girls are bitter for acknowledging a very real trend within their own community. I don’t understand the gaslighting at all.
I guess the “divesting” thing is a way to flip the narrative to pretend like they do it too but it’s just not serious. Nobody believes that, not even you.
I feel you mama but listen, the truth is light skin is pedestalized, being a different race is exoticized, etc. White men conquered the planet and made their women the face of beauty. Black ppl are at the bottom and thus are associated with being the worst of the worst. For Black women that means your dark skin is associated with “struggle” if you are outside of the continent or a “Black” country anyone lighter than us is closer to the “beauty standard” and is automatically deserving of better because they don’t come from our background/experience.
If you don’t come from a family and community that knows how to fight this programming, you will fall for it.
So yea, if you run into dudes with that mindset it isn’t really worth to go back and forth with them.
And there are Black women who have similar thoughts that brehs may encounter.
Ultimately, if you’re a quality person you have a good chance to link up with a quality person of your race, and if you don’t, just make sure you are still dealing with a quality person if they are another race
The issue is the Black folks who purposely shun those who are their reflection. Can’t do anything bout them so let them consciously/unconsciously breed themselves out.
