Jay-z got madd hits, just not Billboard #1’s, wasn’t his first Billboard 100 #1 ever the joint with Alicia Keys? To most people that’s an Alicia Keys song, her hook is the song. That song is played a lot and loved outside of America too.

Jay-z isn’t really that type of rapper, he made a lot of club records but not a lot of necessarily “pop” records that white people and kids love to sing, lol, which is usually what makes your shhit a #1. Who cares?
