Why didn’t he play in the Euroleague?

If his handlers left him in a weak league on purpose to showcase his skills then :francis:

He was on a Euroleague team the year before but didn't get as much playing time. They wanted a team that would allow him to showcase his skills and get plenty of playing time before coming over to the NBA

Motherfukker avg 19, 9 and 1 at 7'5.. Couldn't even average 10 rebounds or 20 points as the first pick in the draft... He played a whopping 7 years.. and 492 games.. His career went like this... 82 games, 82 games, 80 games, 57, 48, 55, 77

That's not a BUST.. But ehhhhhhh... I wouldn't waste my first pick on that return

When people pick a number one, they are thinking of transcendent players... Someone who is going to come in and be all world... For decades... Bron, Kareem, Magic, Duncan, AI, Hakeem, Robinson..... Not just another guy or very good... Motherfukking GREAT

The way the media influences who goes first is diabolical. There was no way Wemby wasn't going to go first, as was Ewing, Olajuwon, Robinson, LeBron, Iverson, Duncan.....but for the most part that #1 pick is too much pressure.

Wemby is definitely a project, and he may eventually dominate, but he also may get hurt and not become anything.
