I’m going to save any overreactions until the end of summer league.

A few things:

He has to gain serious muscle. This simply isn’t going to work and teams can’t wait to bully him.

The jump in competition level must be absolutely staggering for him. His prior French team didn’t even compete at the highest level in Europe. I don’t know if he’ll be a bust but the media hype was always disproportionate from the get-go.

Luka by comparison was a prodigy / sensation at the Euroleague level.

yeah this happens with bigs when they hit the league

they all have guard skills but they aren't sharp enough to operate on the elite level with that bag

there has been one player around 7" & up that has had a fully functional guards skill.set that's cupcaKD

you can maybe throw BIG.BIRD/joker in there but he doesn't operate like a guard in the way he moves it's weird he's a center with a point.guards mind i don't really count him as a big.guard in terms of style but he is in terms of production

they are still dreaming of a nba full of big guards but it's just the rarest thing to find a 7" hooper with the fluidity of a guard

the taller a player is the the more robotic their bag gets it is still a video game fantasy to have big.guards with dance moves like byrie ha

they hyped vic like 7'3"+ cupcaKD that's not what it's looking like on the first impression
