Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
The way the media influences who goes first is diabolical. There was no way Wemby wasn't going to go first, as was Ewing, Olajuwon, Robinson, LeBron, Iverson, Duncan.....but for the most part that #1 pick is too much pressure.

Wemby is definitely a project, and he may eventually dominate, but he also may get hurt and not become anything.
Sometimes you got to ignore the media.. Until I see someone over 7'3 be worthy of a #1, I'm not sure why I'd be out there listening to the media instead of all of human history

If it's not a sure lock, like the names you named.... You just better off trading and getting a known asset or 3-5 picks and have more options. It's damn near impossible to pick the best player in the draft every year. The best player from each draft is rarely the number 1, which tells me it's rarely worth it to keep it

He skilled but he do too much. He needs to dumb his game down a lot and he'll be ok

He needs to abandon any KD type of moves he did in his first game and become Evan Mobley

- Play at the high post
- Mid range jump shots
- Only bring up the ball here and there but let the point guard control the offense and make entry passes to him
- Crash the boards for easy buckets
- Don't have to necessarily "bang" in the paint. But a simple left and right jump hook is a good starting point
