On spring break, Lee was in the car the whole time remember.
Abbot was inside the house the girls came and when they all went outside abbott freaked out because she saw lee in the passenger seat waiting.
So unless Ray had the outfit in his hands lifted the spare well while gamby, lee, his step daughter, wife, and abbot never saw it, I doubt he had anything to do with it.
Ray was always on Gamby's good side by the way, thats the funny thing about him, when gamby was treating him like shyt he was always nice to gamby and almost oblivious to gamby's bs.
Like someone said earlier, you don't get a guy like Shea Whigham, just so he can play the minor character of the cool husband of your ex-wife

Yea but he was carrying a bag where the outfit could have been hidden during the packing. The fact that Ray has been nice to Gamby the whole time really is inconsequential when it comes to these "whodunit" tv stories. Its usually winds up being the person you least expect.
Yeah but the outfit wasn't found in a bag, it was under the turnk in the spare tire compartment. along with the gun.
Ray isn't putting a gun where his stepdaughter can get it.
On top of that, this show isn't a whodunit, its a character study.
Nerdy assistant with glasses is like my B choice. I think if she was involved then she might've conspired with Dashaun. Reason why I started considering this as a possibility was cuz it seems like after Dashaun pointed the finger at that goth student, they've never gone back and questioned him for more details after Gamby stopped looking as the kid as a suspect. The fact that him and the nerdy assistant been having something going on would lead me to believe that could have worked together
What I'm saying is its possible that they can work out that ray may have secretly taken the clothes out of the bag and put it in the trunk. This show isn't a straight up whodunit but its using the whodunit aspect to test the relationship of the two characters.
I'm sure they can make it his daughter if the added the scene later, but it doesn't fit with the characters as they have shown them nor would it make sense for it to be Ray just because its Shea Winningham.
If you don't think its Ray and think its Lee then fine but I really don't see why Ray is automatically discounted as a possible suspect just because he's been nice to Gamby. When it comes to these whodunit shows, how nice a particular character is to the victim is often inconsequential in the end because these type of storylines always play out as the person you least suspect. You can't compare Gamby's daughter being a suspect with Ray being a suspect. Ray is not Gamby's blood and he's mentioned in the past how he's jealous of Gamby because he could never have the relationship that Gamby has with his daughter because their not blood related. At the end of the day, Ray doesn't owe Gamby anything.
