Eastside of that Motor
while we pulling up random girl groups, let's get zhane crackin :wow:

they legit got heaters tho...they just need a 90's group "appreciation" verzuz and just let all these r&b groups put today's artists, and industry, to shame. i get the economics of the music industry doesn't work for groups anymore, but both r&b and hip hop could benefit from both being reintroduced
They can play groove thing and leave and it would be a W

Breh i dont know what your point is, Arrested Development had a hit song but they weren't looked at as being stars like Kriss Kross was, Kriss Kross was in Michael Jackson videos. I really aint tryna go back n forth

You said Kriss Kross were the first big superstars from ATL, I'm telling you they weren't because there was Arrested Development. They had more than one big song.

i didnt know arrested development's album dropped before kriss kross. it mustve been an initial slow burn thru the 1st couple months or something.
arrested development was just as big as kriss kross, but i would say that kriss kross was a monster str8 out the gate. i'd say that they became superstars first.

as for the doing research thing to know that kriss kross was from atlanta, you can say the same for arrested development. most people thought they were from tennessee. LOL. at least with kriss kross, you knew JD was atlanta.

atlanta was a transplant city anyway, especially for music. TLC was atlanta's most synonymous act, and even with them, the biggest star of the group is from philly.

JD even says he didn't put ATL on the map in regard to Hip Hop.

then who did??

Xscape wasnt playing the game to win.

just to show that they could hold their own against SWV was a win for them.

they were cementing their spot as #3 for that era. they dont mind if you put SWV or TLC above them, but will get offended if you mention anybody else ahead of them.
FYI, en vogue is not of that era, before somebody throws their name out there.
