Windows has been around longer than Android and its primary established in enterprise.

Windows Phone's have gotten nothing but good customer reviews plus they are more affordable.

Windows 8 will help launch the app store to new heights and Samsung already has a Windows 8 portfolio consisting of Windows 8 laptops and tablets.

Windows Phone 8 = less hassle and its very easy to market considering MS is budgeting 1 billion dollar for marketing and brand recognition and Samsung doesn't have to pay top dollar to market the phone.

Literally all PC's and tablets will be shipping with Windows 8 after October 26th Windows 8 experience is consistent throughout PC, tablet, phone, laptop.

If a user has a Windows 8 tablet, Windows 8 PC why would he/she use an Android device.

I bet most users aren't heavily invested in Android's ecosystem most apps are free so those users should be easy to move over. Most Android users buy low end phones anywhere that's where the chunk of the marketshare is coming from anywhere Microsoft can hit that market hard with affordable easy to use Windows Phone 8's.

But for hardcore users its a bit harder to move in the short term but I am sure when more people get adjusted to Windows 8 more power users will move over.

Man you live in a idealized world. That sounds good on paper but in real life it just does not work out that way. If you really been keeping up on Win 8 news most PC'ers are not happy with Win 8, they already calling Win 7 the new XP because it does everything a person needs now without the drastic change that Win 8 brings.

The Win 8 pc x86 (Intel & AMD) apps or NOT compatible with Win 8 arm based tablets and phones so there is already fragmentation from the start. Win 8 phones will start with effectively 0 market share because the guinea pigs of Win 7 Phones users are being left in the dust with a token UI update.

Win 8 may be improved but it will take a miracle for it to come close to Android or iOS.

you actually make my point with this photo.

i said from a distance the two phones look alike, and they do.

are people really going to notice a 1 inch difference in screen length from 5-6 feet away? that's the only major difference in the design of the two phones.

:what:

Why do people keep saying this retarded as shyt, "When you see it from a distance"

It's a damn phone nikka :stopitslime:

Who cares what the phone looks like from a distance... I'm sure you can confuse ANYTHING from a distance. Yeah that Toyota looked like a Lexus from a distance, but when you get inside of it you see what's what.

:snoop:

Are you trolling breh?

Wondering why people confusing phones from a distance. No fukking shyt :smh:

Windows 8 reviews are mixed people that reviewed Windows 8 used it in a test environment, VM and I don't even think they had the balls to run it on their primary. I seen many people flip flop their opinion from "OMG this sucks" to "shyt this is a good OS".

It takes some time to adjust but once you get the hang of Windows 8 its hard to go back to Windows 7.

About Windows Phone it will be at 2% marketshare. WP7 apps are still compatible on WP8 so that means WP8 will launch with 100,000 apps plus apps being ported from Windows 8.

Windows 8 ARM devices can't run x86 but the future of apps is not x86. x86 is for heavy productivity apps like Auto Cad, Photoshop etc the future of apps is in the marketplace where an app can scale from a tablet to a PC to a phone which in turn gives Windows a huge marketshare to start off with considering all PC's shipped will have Windows 8.

Now I'm not sure how well Windows 8 will be adapted that's the biggest challenge but its a great OS. I aint dikk riding it I really think its fukking awesome and from what I can see today a lot of people don't even know how to use a Windows PC. With big ass Live Tiles, easy to search, share etc Win8 makes the PC experience easy for everybody from the average joe to the power user.

I'm not saying OEM's will ditch Android that's not going to happen but they are going to think twice on what phone to heavily produce and market Android VS Windows.

WTF are you talking about moron. Your filling the thread with nothing but lies, half truths, and innuendo. I actually own and use a Nokia Lumia 900 running Windows Phone 7 and you have no fukking idea what the hell you are talking about.

First Windows 8 Pro will be used with x86 intel chips and will be compatible with all legacy Windows apps, as well as Windows 8 apps and Windows RT apps.

Windows RT is the tablet OS for windows phone (akin to iOS) and will run Win RT apps. Keep in mind these talbets will have USB ports, and will work with most usv accesories. Furthermore, M$ is making RT versions of all the staple software like Office, Powerpoint, and other essential apps. These will be comparable in power and functionality to an ipad or android tablet

Windows Phone 8 will be the the phone os. Windows phone 8 will RUN ALL APPS CURRENTLY RUNNING ON WINDOWS PHONE 7. That mean, out the gate windows phone 8 will have an ecosytem of 100,000 apps ready to go. Now there will be no backward compatibility for windows phone 8 apps (meaning the new apps wont be usable on older phones). Current Windows phone users like myself will have to upgrade to windows phone 8 phones in order to get the newer windows 8 apps.

Now shut the fukk up, sit down and get ready to behold the Microsoft revolution come September 5..:pachaha:

yeah boi I have a feeling Nokia will allow early upgrades for existing Lumia 900 owners. Nokia customer support is on another level which sets them apart from other OEM's especially Samsung.

Nokia actually cares about the consumer Samsung... Just wants your money

why are you so angry duke? we just talkin phones breh, it ain't that serious.

obviously a lot of you in here cannot read. i said from 5-6 feet away; which is about how far away the people were from me that mistook my S3 for an iPhone. and no, any other smartphone does NOT look like an iPhone from that distance. that's a flat out lie.

the point is the design of the S3 is extremely similar to that of the iPhone minus the extra inch of screen size.

but i'm about to let this topic go, it's getting redundant going back & forth with you fanboys
