As @Art Barr would say, Joker has no envelope to draw. On the low, even the people who say they hate him don't seem that passionate about dude. Clark is way more polarizing. Nothing too crazy. She's an a$$hole (at least she was as an 18 and 19 year old) and her parents are MAGA affiliated. The wretched governor of iowa is friends with the family and on the super low there's speculation that Clark is what the right hoped Tebow could be: a successful athlete with a national brand who can eventually be weaponized politically. Problem is, just like Tebow she's a closet queer.

I don't think people realize how powerful her brand and political and financial connections already were in college. Which is why I didn't like the initial hate she was getting. Because she's smart enough to be outwardly polite, humble, and quiet. So the animosity toward her makes her brand stronger and gives her the appearance of a claim to moral high ground. Which will make her so much more dangerous down the line.

The older US hoops women are jealous.

Many of them have had illustrious high school, college and WNBA careers but they NEVER got the love Angel and CC are getting. Even someone like Griner had to go overseas and play ball just to earn some real paper. CC, Angel and this new crop might make enough $$$ with endorsements that they don't have to play overseas during the offseason.

I sorta understand the jealousy. It would be like people barely caring about the NFL when Brady was doing his thing but suddenly hyping Joe Burrow and acting like he walks on water. Not saying Diana Taurasi is TB12 (though Stewie could be considered almost GOAT-tier), but you can definitely see the hate.

They kept CC and Angel off the team because they didn't want the youngins taking the shine off the older players. It's unfortunate but......this will make people like Angel/CC more and it will lower the Q-Score of the vets. Taurasi in particular....because she was talking greasy during the NCAA tournament and is on this team despite being 40+.

All this does is make people love the young generation more and resent the old heads still hanging on.

Angel wasn't on the team because Angel wasn't good enough throughout the process they take to come to their decision, and 15 straight double doubles wasn't supposed to change their minds. This is damn near the same team from 2 years ago mixed in with players from 3 years ago. The shift in terms out of outgoing /incoming isn't gonna happen yet and even then, we're talking subbing out 4 and adding 4. The 2026-28 teams will look kinda similar to this. It's not as if it'll just be Wilson, Stewart, Ionescu and 9 new girls. They could probably get away with it, but that's not what they're gonna do. 4 years from now all the stuff we're saying about Clark not going we're gonna be saying about JuJu and it'll be doubly bad cuz the Olympics will be in her backyard.



Again, it's amazing how we're tryna kick out one of the greatest women's players of all time cuz she's old. Meanwhile on the men's side we're pretending we need 39 year old LeBron James to win a Gold medal.
