Just got caught up. The girl that went through the old tunnel under the wall mentioned that there were no people at all left on the other side. The invasion may have been like a reverse "Independence Day" where walls were built around LA and other major cities, and everyone outside got neutron bombed or something.

Or maybe they got taken :merchant:

I guess I'm the only one, but I've been enjoying how this show has been shaping up.

Resistance thinking Katy is a double agent now :wow:

The show is good but the resistance is coming off like the bad guys. A couple of episodes back when Will and Apollo found that small base in that swimming pool and they said they lost half their weapons, I knew they were lying about being able to do work against the aliens. Then when it turned out they were lying about Geronimo being the leader it became clear they don't really have a plan. They are killing people and getting people killed when they really don't know what's going on. I'm sure they don't know anything about Snyder's bosses that would take over if he died. Katy fukked up getting involved with them.

I think they have done a solid job in showing the two sides. Katy is certainly the idealist and has been over her head in joining the resistance and what that might cost her. Yet, you could understand why someone would want to fight back in the climate they live in. Will is being pragmatic in trying to get their son and dealing with Snyder. Their two opposing viewpoints is one of the reasons I like the show.

I get what they are going for in wanting to fight back against desperate circumstances but the resistance comes off like people who riot in their own neighborhood when shyt gets bad. They are only hurting themselves and their neighbors while the people responsible, the aliens, sit in their homes watching.

They have been able to take out some key people in Homeland like Will's female boss, but I agree based on what Snyder said about meeting the aliens (assuming he was telling the truth) they don't seem to have much chance of winning the fight yet.

But Homeland isn't really the enemy, they are a middle man negotiating the peace to keep people alive.

In a sense that is true, but they are the people tasked with hunting them down and they need Homeland in order to gain intel on the aliens.

The last episode had me thinking that the Resistance might actually be working with another faction of the bad guys without knowing it. When the Mayor of the block said "This is a coup!" he might have been correct. There's a higher level to the human government in California, and the people that run the different Blocks are fighting each other for power. I think the woman we saw from that other Block is secretly directing the Resistance leader. Their real purpose is not to fight the aliens, but to weaken the LA Block leadership.

Other than the guy with the telescope seeing something in orbit, we haven't really seen much to indicate that the aliens are even there anymore. This show might end up being closer to "The Man in the High Castle" than to "V".

Charlotte likes to watch :shaq:, but her husband might be making an upgrade.

My man got out just in the nick of time :whew:, good thing Katie warned him.
