African countries are better off asking China, Japan or Euro countries for trains and rail.

Can't even get high speed rail in our backyard though :skip:
There's no incentive to help Americans prosposer. It more advantageous for us to set up shop in Africa.....gets us access to their resources and gets us closer to what Russia and China are doing in Africa.

Is there a reason no African countries can unite to build the railroad without outside help?

I'm sure they have the resources and can buy the equipment. Is it lack of knowledge?

they can, but it's the same reason many projects go unfunded and unstarted. As mentioned in this thread US can't even upgrade their own internal rail system. I know part of that is due to the bureaucracy of the rail authority and corporations. Same reason African bureaucracy and interests create the same issue. Every c ountry/region has this issue that affects them differently.

the project includes other African countries, not just Angola
If a project is done in Mexico and Canada do you call it an American project?

There are 54 countries in Africa so a few "other countries" does not equate to "Africa"

you make no sense, the project is about building a rail line across Africa

instead of trying to argue a bigger issue like why it's being funded(like everybody else in here), you want to argue semantics

go re evaluate yourself.

I know this project is mainly to benefit corporations because they're intimidated that China has built rail roads to transport resources for themselves
