Yes. He was stale from the time he came back in 2000 as well, the company and main event scene had passed him by while he was out and he felt like a weird hold over. That's why I still think the WM 17 heel turn was the right thing to do, and at the right time, and WORKED as Austin was getting real heel heat after that until he started doing the comedy skits with Angle and Vince. He was also highly motivated in the ring, more than he had been in years.

Character and timing wise, that heel turn was perfect and I really can't believe people still act like it was some crazy misstep.

Did it though?
:ld:

I mean they tried to turn him heel and the crowd cheered him. You could make the argument that turning him heel is what hurt the business overall as thats when things came off the peak, theres sort of numbers to point to that. Thats why they turned him face twice after. I agree that something felt different when he came back but by the same token the fans were still kinda cheering or as I said before that stupid What thing got over like he was a face

I dont know, Austin is like the one guy I've not quite seen people get sick of yet

I just dont understand why people have to tweet/IG this cryptic stuff. She keeps saying 'if you only knew', etc. If you arent gonna say what we are supposedly suppose to know, then dont say anything at all. Pretty simple.

She's a woman in her mid 20s who grew up with social media. That shyt is textbook.

I disagree, look how over he was when he stun the hell outta everybody in the Alliance during the InVasion angle:

He was still over with the crowd, I just think his character need to be tweaked, maybe back to IDAF Austin from 97. I think Angle and Austin should’ve been reverse in InVasion. Angle should’ve been the turncoat heel and Austin having hated WCW and had a cup of coffee in ECW as a perfect pissed off babyface to go up against him.

Stale doesn't mean not over. It means his character was in need of a change. In 2002 they were just rerunning the Austin vs McMahon angle but with Bischoff and Flair in place of Vince.

Only if the Rock was staying around, though. He was gone for the last time as a full timer, and then HHH stayed heel. So you had Austin tussling with the hardy boyz lol. Of course the turn failed

So they promised them a long run with belts, but then they turn around and tell them they're dropping the team and the belts the day of the ppv. It has to be a mixture of Vince and the retard creative team that's behind this bullshyt. They better fix this shyt asap or else they're going to lose more people.

People calling her entitled and plans do change but I get the frustration on pans changing then having to live them and your spot being in creative hands no matter how hard you work

When people look back on this "women's revolution" they'll see that it was really just the Charlotte & Alexa era. Sasha & Bayley were the 2 most over wrestlers in NXT and they jobbed them out to people who were less popular than them. It made no sense for Sasha to lose at WM32 when she was at her peak, and it made no sense to have a superior wrestler in Bayley lose to a non bumping manager turned poor wrestler. Sasha vs Charlotte was the modern day Rock vs HHH.
