I've watched enough episodes of Law and Order to know it was beyond dumb to release these texts.

Guilt or innocence aside, not even good lawyers but all lawyers know in addition to presenting the case, you're supposed to control the public perception. Nothing ever should've been released unless it went to trial. There was always going to be a segment of people who assumed he did this regardless of the verdict.

Disney probably would've rolled knowing that there was some reasonable doubt. I mean Hawkeye has a domestic incident out there too. White chick probably could've been cut some money for her cooperation.

Now they probably have to release the video and the phone call, both of which probably aren't conclusive either or they would've released it already.

Dude's career is fukked. Even if he is innocent, unless she's smacking herself up in the video it's gonna effect the box office receipts forever.
