I agree. No one is defending these charlatans.
But a lot of cats are comparing a mattress store to an arena
If anything Osteen could have opened up his 15 million dollar mansion to displaced victims, but I doubt he is even in Houston right now so...

Nobody is defending him bruh. People are just calling out the false expectations of opening a massive facility like that to hundreds of thousands of people.

1. I've never given money to him because I don't agree with his version of Scripture.
2. From what I have researched he has teams of people working together providing a lot of relief efforts with other emergency personnel.
3. Nykkas act like preachers are supposed to do everything. If you so concerned why don't you pack up and go be the help you claim every other pastor should be.
4. You conveniently dismiss all of the work other pastors are putting in who work full time jobs and don't get one red cent from their congregation.

I never said a snake could. I merely pointed out that we do have evidence of an animal (parrot) talking.
So does it seem that far fetched that another animal could have done the same thing at some point before and that is now extinct.

Before someone says I'm attacking Christianity, I'm not. I'm a Christian (or at least I try to be). I'm attacking Joel Osteen.
All of these prosperity Preachers are snakes. They treat God's word like a business and that rubs me the wrong way. Jesus had no desire for material possessions whatsoever and lived with the people, yet this cac uses the Gospel to enrich himself, make $40 million a year and live in sprawling gated mansions. If you wanna make millions in business and investments like everybody else, great. These dudes using the Bible to enrich themselves though have twisted and perverted it's meaning. Christianity is about helping other people find salvation and about helping spread God's message. It's not about helping Creflo Dollar buy jets or helping Joel Osteen get rich. Jesus was about helping the poor and the sick and the people but you using his message to buy Ferraris. They'll have to answer for that on Judgement Day.

Like another member said he does it every Sunday. He has enough pull in this city to get some work done even in the midst of a storm. Faith is supposed to be the basics of "Christianity". He doesn't have enough faith for the Most High to help him in his efforts to assist the community?
This is another reason folks don't respect "Christianity", people pick and choose what parts they want to apply to their lives. Preachers included.
