In football, I hope every player gets as much guaranteed money as they can, period. It's up to the team to manage the salary cap.

Plenty of QB's are over paid today. Cutler, Flacco, Dalton.....

Anytime I see a player who has busted his ass his whole life sign a "big money" deal, I'm happy as fukk for them. They earned that guaranteed lump sum. The NFL is absolutely a cut throat business. Get all you can, when you can.

I respect Cam's game. I wish him nothing but the best.

:salute:

Heaven on Earth
these QB's getting paid :whoo:
The same exact contracts that Juwan Howard and Alonzo Mourning got over 20 years ago with less than 1/2 of the gauranteed money..

8 figures less than elite pitchers are getting paid to throw a ball without getting hit....

It only looks like they are "getting paid" because the NFL and their union has been chumping their players with Wal Mart wages for decades....

at these cacs & c00ns up in here shyting on this man

so we gonna act like when he had a top 15 WR his 1st & 2nd season he aint almost throw for 8,000yrds & 40TD's

either this forum is 65% non black or 65% of self hating nikkaz :snoop:
To be fair, I can go up the Andy Dalton/ Joe Flacco contract threads....people on here hate every QB's money besides Seyton, Rodgers and Brady. It's like everyone who is not a top 3 QB should get paid 5 Million a year on here.

The Panthers had to pay the man. While I think he has issues as a QB, his upside is way too high to let him leave and play for a team like say, the Cowboys or something. That being said, the Panthers need to win the division or at least Wild Card and they need to at minimum get out the 2nd round, because both years, they got sonned by the NFC West.

If Newton doesn't get a scheme change, the contract amounts to dead money. As of right now, Neton is not good enough from the pocket to win in the playoffs. He isn't accurate enough downfield or in the short quarters. Moreover he doesn't throw well enough on the run like you might expect from a mobile QB. Carolina should have changed coordinators last year to something more Chip Kellyesque. If Newton succeeded in that scheme, I would gladly give him a contract.

Cam is "Dead Money" :dead:

Despite his rookie year and subsequent slander, Clausen is more accurate than Newton right now. Clausen was impressive against the Lions (?) last year in that one game he played for the Bears. He was on time and accurate in the short game -- consistently more so than Newton, who I fear will never be accurate enough from the pocket. For all the fanfare against him, Clausen's career really shouldn't be over yet.

:dahell: This nikka really making a case that Clausen>>>Cam

Clausen is overall more accurate than Newton and in time can become a good cerebral pocket passer like Matt Hasselbeck. Matt won a Superbowl.

:skip: Clausen and cerebral in the same sentence and then slipped that Hasselbeck SB win there

QB's ahead of Cam imo:

Brady
Manning
Brees
Rodgers
Wilson
Rivers
Ben
Flacco
Ryan
Eli
Romo
Luck

Cam's in that Stafford, Kapernick tier

Seemed accurate to me!
