What's this "story" between Page and Omega? Last I remember Page started drinking a lot, people thought he might turn on Omega/The Elite but in the end they pulled the trigger on the Omega heel turn and Page kind of drifted into the background and ended up doing the Dark Order stuff after Brodie passed. So how did they start interacting again and what makes it the best story in wrestling like I've been hearing?
The story is that Hangman has a confidence problem. He lost a lot of self confidence losing the title shot against Jericho & doubts himself in big moments. He eventually teamed with Omega/Elite and had success. Eventually things turn bad, they lose the tag titles & Omega plays it like Hangman was holding him back and wins the Heavyweight title & goes on his big singles run. Hangman goes on his singles run & starts winning matches but never goes after the title because he doesn't think he can win it. Brodie Lee tries to recruit Hangman to the Dark Order, but he turns them down after his whole dealings with the Elite. Brodie Lee dies, and the Dark Order is pretty much lost without leadership. So Hangman who is lost in his own head & Dark Order who are lost without their leader eventually find each other. The Dark Order is basically telling Hangman he's awesome, he's built to be champion, etc. You can see Hangman with more confidence. Anyway, Hangman builds up enough wins and becomes the #1 contender and finally decides to go after the title again. Omega refuses to defend the title against him. Hangman challenges Omega/Elite to the elimination tag match where if he & Dark Order win, then they all get title shots. They lose the match this past Dynamite with Hangman going 3 on 1 against The Elite with them basically cheating to win.
The funny thing is, Hangman wrote a children's book with this same storyline
