Yeah I actually think it is taking advantage of the lack of us laws to protect user data and privacy. The solution isn’t to ban tik tok it’s to regulate the entire market and then fine TikTok heavily for breaking the rules established for everyone.
Exactly. You'd think Facebook's Cambridge Analytica scandal would have woken up congress to make laws about this or get a Facebook ban. But somehow they got a hard on to ban TikTok after people started to wake up and organize.

If the government really cared about national security and our private data, they'd make a law for ANY and ALL corporations from spying on us.
