There's no sign of thar slowing down. It can't really get oversaturated bc more eyeballs = dollars to apps

Yes, YOU individually might say too many ppl are dancing on an app, but those ppl are gaining followers bring money for advertisers to thesr apps

its a lot easier to make money off tik tok than youtube. short form content, algorithm, tik tok lives. it's easier entry which is why i'm saying it's going to be oversaturated. of course youtube pays better but the lifespan of videos last longer. comparing apples to oranges. your friends wouldn't realistically make a comfortable living on tik tok because its always going to be on to the next. if they were popping on youtube, that's different. did your friends have this impression that apps are forever lasting and they were going to live happily ever after?

That is true. A data center can be based in the US but contains servers that serve data remotely to anywhere in the world. It isn't hard to believe that the Chinese could hide a back door into each of those servers or plain old just access them remotely via ByteDance. Are there mandatory security audits done on servers hosted in the US but owned by entities in other countries? Do you know who the vendor of the data center was @Insensitive? Are the Chinese able to build proprietary data centers on US soil?

Regardless of whether ppl are using it long-term or otherwise, it's what ppl are using RIGHT NOW to eat, pay bills etc. Maybe next year they figure out something else to do. We're in a free country, free market economy. That should not be compromised

4. Supreme Court passed a law
5. The social media apps Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter are banned in china

russia and Myanmar ban them too but the u.s government hasn't banned any apps or websites.
