Carlisle is a great coach. Look at those rosters and many coaches don't even have them sniff the postseason. Mavs had 3 bad seasons but got Luka

Beal already told you he ain't leaving. Ted Leonsis already said he ain't trading him.

And the Wizards only have 2 players on their roster from May 2019. Only 2.

No one wants to talk about Tommy Sheppard?
Beal is not the centerpiece for that franchise to win a championship, nor will Washington ever get a major free agent

I hate when people compare harden to Luka

harden is talented in his own right

but Luka’s bag is way more varied and fun to watch

I dunno about that breh.

their actual games is just personal preference bc everyone oohs and aaahs when Harden breaks ankles on some throwback Iverson ish and throws lobs. Both of them foul bait and jack up ignorant step back 3s.

In regards to Luka, jacking up 30+ shots and 10+ threes looks cool... when them shyts going in..

but ultimately it leads to the same end result of gassin out and throwin up bullshyt like we saw in the 3rd and most of the 4th, before the stat padding at the end.

That wasn’t fun to watch and neither are the Mavs when the 3s aren’t falling... just like the Harden Rockets.

That system/play style gotta change.. whether that’s better players, new coach, or Luka diversifying his game.

yeah I’ll admit harden isn’t my cup of tea:hubie:

and even Luka isnt a personal favorite, but Luka goes to work in the post a lot and hit a bunch of Dirk like shots tonight :manny:

he does need to work on his conditioning though because he gasses out.

he also needs a better coach and better players to get the ball out of his hands the whole game to conserve energy

IDK know if that’s the move. I’d rather a “mutual parting” with carlise since he’s the president of the CA and firing him outright would be embarrassing. We’ve seen how the hawks went from a shytty Trae ball squad under Pierce to what they are now. Gotta get a new culture in. Carlise has this fake pop reputation despite one lebron meltdown ring. Only reason this was 7 games because of a generational talent and Lue being slow to adjust. Playing Boban like he’s Shaq is stupid. Benching Richardson like that made no sense. KP is basically Kyle Korver without the off ball movement

Not sure why Richardson wasn't playing either. But Porzingis value is so low right now. No idea who would be a taker of his $31M.

The Bullets haven't had cap space since 2016. That summer Ernie Grunfeld royally screwed over the franchise with moves like Ian Mahinmi, Andrew Nicholson, etc.

Washington needs to mold itself after squads that do not tank like MIA, SAS, UTA, etc who are able to scout well, draft well, and find gems to fill out rosters every summer.

Beal is of course not a #1 option on a title team. He is a #2 or #3. But he is a star player and will be an All-NBA selection. He wants to be in DC and wants to bring people here.

The opportunity to sign a major free agent is in 2023 when there will be cap room. And Washington, DC is not a small market.

Of course, if Rui Hachimura becomes a star, the equation changes.
