Some of Hollywood's biggest and most popular actresses have come out saying Harvey Weinstein sexually violated them
:what:
The Weinstein story was one of the main stories in US news for the past few years and his actions was the driving force for the #metoo movement.

Ask yourself why all of a sudden all attention is shifted off of him and now on 2 Black men
:

So...

Somehow, hollywood's BIGGEST and most popular actresses being brave enough to finally do an outcry, WAY after any need to clout...

And you also admit that the Weinstein story WAS one of the main stories in the U.S....

And you admit that HIS actions, Weinstein - who isn't a black man - was the DRIVING FORCE for the #Metoo movement....

Which, almost by itself, has changed the dynamic of predatory harassment...

You admit all of these things, that I agree with are true.

Yet, don't understand how two artists who have major impact in the public's perception of entertainment influence aren't more of a documentary draw at this moment?

I could debunk your conspiracy by flipping your entire argument. If you started off saying...

Ask yourself why all of a sudden all attention is shifted off of him and now on 2 Black men
:

I'd say, well, to be fair, the public's interest is very microwave in that what is news today becomes old tomorrow and no conspiracy actually exists because, had there been a conspiracy, in which really powerful groups who shape society are partners of Weinstein then they would have prevented some of hollywood's biggest actresses from coming out because they could control them & considering that when the actual news broke about WEINSTEIN, his immorality was one of the most significant factors in #metoo blowing up because "the powerful boogeyman" couldn't somehow prevent his terrible record of harrassment from going public and big in the first place. :skip:

There is no conspiracy.

EVERYBODY knows who Weinstein is now and his level of the celebrity is at the point where a documentary on him would definitely pique the general public's interest and you would think that it would have great ratings. There is absolutely no logical reason why NO MEDIA OUTLETS are shining light on his documentary. Yea MJ and Kells are celebrities but why is a documentary on a deceased man found innocent in a court of law and have zero evidence proving he molested kids and another documentary of a far past his relevant prime getting 24/7 attention?

Why is the doc on a dead man more hyped than the one with the rich cac that is known everywhere, alive and free?

Because one is one of the most famous people to ever breathe. The other is a behind the scenes figure, moreso famous to other celebs than the general public. I didn't even know wtf he looked like until recently, nor did I know what movies he had any direct involvement with save for Paid In Full due to Dame going on and on about it.

If it's surprising that there is going to be more hype and interest about Michael Jackson anything, than Harvey Wienstien anything I don't know what to tell you. Does that negate the disparity in treatment of black men in the media or justice system? Not at all. But I don't think all these ducks have been set up to distract from Harvey Wienstien while he awaits trail where he he's facing up to a life sentence. I'm all for a good conspiracy too, there's plenty, especially against black folks but I don't think you'd need one for there to be such a difference in how much more press R Kelly and Michael Jackson are getting compared to somebody is nowhere near famous/infamous.

The media outlets who shine light on a particular intellectual property are shining light on THEIR exclusive documentary, or THEIR exclusive interview, or THEIR exclusive movie.

Do you see commercials on HBO? Why would lifetime advertise a documentary that isn't connected to their channel?

Also, have you considered that there have been influential media outlets who've reviewed and advertised weinstein documentaries already however you probably don't frequent them?

What media outlet do you watch that have you believing Weinstein shyt is being played low key?

Look at this

Weinstein Accusers Share Their Stories in Trailer for The Reckoning

Director Barry Avrich Describes Harvey Weinstein's "Web of Control" in New Film

Harvey Weinstein Doc ‘The Reckoning: Hollywood’s Worst Kept Secret’ To Premiere At Hot Docs

TV Review: ‘Weinstein,’ a Documentary From Frontline and the BBC, on PBS

This is just a few of the media sites that I SERIOUSLY doubt you frequent. These are all articles shining light on a Weinstein doc that actually came out before the Rkelly and the MJ one.

I don't frequent and country clubs, white women's club meetings or bingo nights in suburbs... I'm sure the people who do are more likely reading the above mentioned media sites than you or me.

How do YOU know that media that isn't primarily focused on black pop culture hasn't shined light? (They have)

Do you really believe that in white circles, RKelly and MJ are being discussed more than Weinstein and MEtoo??

Above the fray.
:what:

Some of Hollywood's biggest and most popular actresses have come out saying Harvey Weinstein sexually violated them (Angelina, Lupita, Salma...). The Weinstein story was one of the main stories in US news for the past few years and his actions was the driving force for the #metoo movement. His story on film would usually make a tv executive's dikk get hard. Why not now? :jbhmm:

Saying you're being duplicitous by implying that he's just some behind the scenes suit that nobody knew is an understatement. Ask yourself why all of a sudden all attention is shifted off of him and now on 2 Black men: one being an R&B singer in the nader of his relevancy and people already knows is a sexual deviant and the other a man who's been dead for a decade and when alive was found innocent in a court of law and is being accused of misconduct by two men who are known liars.

You cosigning that p*ssy @Matt504 got you out here looking crazy.
Can you post the trailer for the documentary , so that we can see many of these "biggest and more popular actresses" appear on camera talking about the allegations?

You dismissed what I wrote about star power, but if I'm guessing correctly none of these star actresses were interviewed for "Untouchable".
I'll wait until seeing the trailer to post more .

:russ:

nikka, stfu. These MJ and R. Kelly documentaries were being spoken about in ALL circles. I was listening to sports radio and heard cacs break from sports and talk about the MJ documentary.

When I say that nobody is talking about the Weinstein documentary I didn't mean literally. Of course you can find a spattering of stories on it on the internet if you Googled for it. But you'd be looking for it. With the MJ and Kelly documentaries YOU COULDNT AVOID THEM.

Again...you're being duplicitous.

What are you even saying? They don't have to be on camera talking about it. Was R. Kelly on cam talking about the allegations leveled against him in that doc? Was MJ on the Leaving Neverland doc?

I see a lot of "black men" in here defending / not acknowledging the racial element that has played a role in the Weinstein doc being buried by the mainstream media.

Even calling those of us who believe that the MJ doc and Oprah support for it was a smokescreen to divert the attention from the Weinstein doc "conspiracy theorist"

Interesting.

Feminist @Matt504 in here pretending everyone knew the Weinstein doc dropped:mjlol:. I haven't watched the MJ joint or the Kelz joint but I knew they existed because they had hella buzz. I didn't know Weinstein had a doc that dropped already until reading this thread. Somehow your fakkit ass flipped that into blaming black men saying we were ignoring it:stopitslime:. Im starting to think that nikka likes to deliberately have the opposing point of view even if it's total bullshyt.
