You're completely making that up. LOTS of people who are so depressed they want to end their life don't give a fukk about "loose ends", they just do it, usually spontaneously.

Yeah it’s some old cases I found that scared the shyt outta me

I've crossed that way a few times, area is SUPER remote and creepy but I'm pretty sure he's making the story up. It's the fukking desert the entire way, I can't think of anywhere on the route where there is "tall grass on both sides of the road", not the kind people could be hiding in.

Dude felt creeped out when he drove the road and made up a horror plot-story to match.

I've driven that route a few times as well and I can't recall any section of the route that looks like that either.

No one knew he killed himself at first. It was on the news because he disappeared. The fact that he worked for the CDC gave it a sensational factor, even though his team at the CDC was completely innocuous (tracking health disparities in disadvantaged and minority neighborhoods) and not the actual sensational, "Maybe he knew about a killer virus!" thing the conspiracy theorists were running with.

His body wasn't found until almost two months later. When it was discovered to be drowning by suicide the buzz dried up. There was nothing left to be "suspicious" about except people who had rolled with their conspiracy theory narrative for too long and didn't want to let go.
