I've played the first mission.

This is a less intuitive, more complicated, more cinematic Fire Emblem.

I like it but this is NOT for casuals whatsoever.

it has an overwhelming amount of depth to combat

a bunch of fighter classes
the AP/PP system and
a bunch of special attacks and you can choose between a million different conditions and ways the attacks target enemies

The AI using field skills on me too? :why:

This shyt is going to be hard as hell once I get to endgame
xcom rules apply. gotta be aggressive. and items are wayyyy too good not to use.

nothing seems 'overpowered' yet, but if the AI ever starts sprinting units across the map to outposts then switching leaders to drop AoEs on me - im fried lol

also, you can go into the character sheets and basically go full ff12 gambits on some of these abilities

something as small as telling knights to target lowest HP enemies first basically ensures you're getting assaulting lance cooking early

on top of that - you can straight up attack back rows. if there isn't a fighter or something to deliberately guard units, you can just air em out and move on
