i always thought will's acting in that scene wasn't really that good. it seemed forced. but i think it's due to time constraints and the script. especially given his character's age. to see a dude that big blubbering a minute after his absentee father leaves again all because his uncle encourages him that it's okay to feel bad just seems forced and scripted. i can see a little kid doing all that but not some older kid crying like that so soon after he's disappointed...

i disagree, and, more importantly, i'm entitled to my feelings. most of you are suffering from nostalgia and/or the ability to relate. which it's cool you can relate and all, but that doesn't mean that he was convincing. especially if someone who can't relate but has seen enough fatherless kids still isn't convinced by the performance...

I was looking at random clips from that show a few weeks ago.

Forgot how classic it is.

For some reason I always think about how will's hat wasn't suppose to come off and then uncle Phil just tossed that sh!t like a ho....:krs:

speaking of hat tossings, i always wondered how a supposedly "fake" punch made Will's hat fly off like this

what's so hard to understand? if he can't convince everyone (or a sufficient amount of people) with his performance other than those who are fatherless, why should his performance be see as "superior"? that's not to say smith is a bad actor, i'm just saying that scene ain't that good and it's forced...
